How do you plug SPEAKERS (Like computer speakers..those..like..yeah haha) into a LAPTOP?! I tried plugging the cord into the microphone jack but it won't play any sound. The speakers work 100% because they work on my other computer..That broke. I really need help. On the right speaker there is a cord that is BLACK, that plugs into the speaker and well, it can un-plug. There is a cord that also plugs into the right speaker, that is labled audio input. At the end of the audio input cord, there's a green plug in thing, IT HAS A GREEN little tip whatevs. but there is a triangle indented on it? ugh D; i just really need..a lot of help):

The microphone jack on your laptop is an input, not an output. That's why you didn't hear anything. You probably have another jack on your laptop (possibly green) with a little picture of headphones next to it. You can use that jack.
By the way, microphone jacks are usually pink.
You have to put it in the headphones jack, not the microphone.
