Watch a lot of american tv and practice, i'm surprised you can't lose it because a lot of australian actors have lost their accents effortlessly for movie roles, but they never spoke with any other accents than theirs, i think you should be proud of your accent, i think it's actually cute.

If you live in Australia, sorry but its impossible. People can always tell. Nothing worse than an Aussie trying to sound like something else. They all end up sounding like Peter Allen.
