How to recode central lock on renault Clio 1999?
I have a 1999 Clio and for sometime key was not functioning correctly with the result that batteries went flat. Now key is fixed but it seems that i need to recode the key to the car since central lock stopped functioning. Is there a way to do it without going to dealer, which is expensive?!

Try this :
Press and hold central locking button for more than 2 seconds.
Doors should then lock and unlock.
Immobilizer LED will illuminate.
Press Lock/Unlock button
Immobilizer LED should go out.
Hopefully that should be job done, good luck.
On those Renaults there must be a small black dome close to the rear view reflect that you nee to point the most important at to lock and liberate the vehicle try gettin close and doing it, if that works at close variety then it purely needs a battery.
