IM SO HAPPY! I just got my fitting of my Pointe shoes yesterday and today I just finished sewing in the elastics and ribbons and I got gel padding and everything. Now I'm more excited for class on Tuesday! I'm so excited, and I was just wondering if you guys have any tips, ideas, and advice for beginners? Thank you :)

Hey Congrats on your 1st pair I remember how exited I was when I first got mine a few tips ......
1) Don't act like you know it all already because they can actually give advice
2) Dont play around in them
3) If you are not doing an exercise dont go up to en pointe
4) Be extra careful because my friend once broke her ancle on en pointe
5) If you are stuck ask the teacher how to do it right dont be embarrassed everyone gets stuck sometimes..
GOOD LUCK I HOPE I HELPED......
coronary heart up there certainly has it precise. no one can inform you which of them pointe shoes are precise for you different than you and your instructor. in case you attempt to placed on them before you have been precise geared up you may carry out a little rather intense injury to your ft. each and each individual's ft are diverse, so a pair that suits one female will no longer in high quality condition the subsequent one. purely because of the fact somebody on right here swears via a undeniable kind does no longer mean they are going to be the luxurious shoes for you.
I also just got my pointe shoes and I love them I actually have to leave to go to dance really soon but from my teacher to anyone looking at this, PLEASE DO NOT DANCE IN THEM BEFORE CLASS. if you have just gotten ur pointe shoes and you haven t gone to class yet with them on don t dance in them at home. My teacher said we could wear them and go up on them. But she also said no turns or anything because you could get seriously injured.
I remember how happy I was too!
Things to help prepare you for pointe: Exercise Bands - http://www.bunheads.com/studio/ExerciseBands.html
Waist Elastics - http://www.bunheads.com/studio/WaistElastic.html ALL of this will help with conditioning
Play around in them as much as possible to help break them in. Ask as many questions as possible.
