I don't know how! Like, on the outside my screen looks fine! But when I turn it on it shows a cracked screen! How id this if it is not cracked on the outside? My dad bought it from the best buy website. I'm not sure about a warranty though. So how can it be broken like that? Can I get it fixed without getting a new one?
Update:Nikon Coolpix S3000 got it for christmas

The Nikon warranty on your S3000 is for a full year. The fact that the "crack" only shows up behind the glass means that you didn't damage it from the outside.
According to the Best Buy website (another reason I don't shop there), they give you only 14 days to return certain electronic items, including digital cameras.

I'd suggest you look here for your nearest Nikon Authorized Service Center and bring it directly to them. If you give it to Best Buy, they'll just be the middleman and may delay the process. They may also try to upsell you to another product that they carry.

Hope this helps you.
Not sure how your warranty situation is. If the screen showed damage the first time you used it, I'd definitely check on warranty replacement.
It's possible for sharp parts behind the screen to damage it without causing damage to the front. This would be the case if it was sat upon.
That said, I was able to find a suitable replacement screen on eBay for a Canon SD200 and do the repair myself. (Apparently, Sony made the actual part.) This was well outside of the warranty period by a few years.
merely come genuine out and say it. Beating around the bush merely creates a lot of pointless stress. She could even appreciate your blunt honesty. I by twist of fate broke one in all my dad and mom' favourite video tapes while i grew to become right into a new child. I informed them touching directly to the very next 2d I observed them. They weren't mad at me one bit and congratulated me for not attempting to cover it.
sounds like bad news...cheaper to buy new unless this is an expensive model that is fixable, ask a locally owned photo store
