I have no connection to the human race. I have no family, no partner, and my closest friend moved away. Most of my friends are married. The few friends I have never call anymore. New Englanders are really cold people and hard to befriend. I go to a church, I volunteer, and still I am incredibly lonely. It doesn't help that I live near the parents who abused me. Would leaving help me?

oh dear,i know the feeling..i live in michigan after getting married and moving from my home town where i knew lots of people.and it's really cold[the people] here too... loneliness is so hard and we are often shame to tell anyone for fear of being a pest or our pride won't let us...we are moving to the south to be around friendlier people. so if it was me..yes i would move..but first you must ask God to please help you..He sets the lonely in families..He will give you a group/or one/or two of people who will treat you with care and friendship.one other way to rid yourself of loneliness is your mind..tell yourself you are fine and happy,...enjoy your thoughts..get a dog or cat..bird watch or volunteer..hope i helped but God can fix this for you.
Alot of chatting over the internet, can help, it may seem dumb but it really does help, &well if you can then you should move, just to have a fresh new start, thing ill go ohkayy<3
Normally I wouldn't suggest moving but in your case it could help. Sometimes it just nice to put the past behind you and move somewhere else to start all over again! Good luck
