Interior Designer question?
When someone hires an Interior Designer/Decorator to give the inside of their house a makeover, how does the Interior Designer get paid? Do the homeowners pay for all the materials and things that are needed to buy to do the job, and then they pay the designer as well? Or does the designer pay for all the stuff themselves?

That can work in a number of ways. The decorator could have a set fee. Others will take a percentage of the overall budget and the rest is for materials. Either way, if the decorator is doing the purchasing, they will likely have an arrangement with the vendors to get a commission on the materials as well.
