Sure, if you do anything, Majestic Star Dragon is going to destroy everything, but that's only an "if". However, it is difficult to affect it with anything since it has to Tribute itself as a cost, which gets it off the field for anythign else to affect it.. however there are ways to beat it.
You'll have to rely on...
... overpowering it outright (difficult to do since it has 3800 ATK).
... using something that negates monster effects that are activated. Preferably in the Counter-Trap area since Majestic Star Dragon cannot chain to those. (Divine Wraith, Gladiator Beast War Chariot, etc.)
... tribute it for something like Volcanic Queen or Lava Golem. The tributes are a cost to special summon either of these monsters onto the field. Your opponent will not be able to negated them, so there goes Majestic Star Dragon being tributed. Note, this is usually the way to go around all "invincible" monsters.
... surviving the turn. Seriously, this is an option. Majestic Star Dragon goes away after one turn. Though it turns itself back into a Stardust Dragon during that End Phase. Though, I think you'd agree that Stardust Dragon is easier to manage.
... not worry about it since it is incredibly difficult to Synchro Summon in the first place.
Another interesting thing to note is that there is NO RESURRECTION. Notice how Stardust Dragon and Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode, when they used their effects, they come back during the End Phase? Well, Majestic Star Dragon doesn't have that. If it blows up, it blows up for good. Well, sort of. Your opponent could still use stuff like Call of the Haunted if he Synchro'd correctly, but at least it won't come back every turn.
Majestic Star Dragon is not invincible, because its effect activation is similar to Stardust's, only it has a bigger bang afterwards. Unfortunately, I only know 3 ways to defeat it (similar to how you'd beat Stardust): A. Overpower it OR B. Divine Wrath it when its effect gets activated and finally C. Solemn Judgment it when its effect activates. Since I don't run with Solemn, I Divine Wrath my friend's Stardust all the time when he tries to negate my trap or magic card effects. Oh, and that gives me another idea... Activate a card effect, like Raigeki Break or Lightening Vortex to destroy it, make sure you have a Stardust on the field, and negate his Majestic's effect with your Stardust ^_^. It's a trigger effect afterall, so Stardust is on the same speed. That's all.
the best way is like the first guy said to negate its ability which most people try to do but i ill add on 2 things for you...#1 gladiator beast war chairiot- negate its ability while you have glad on field...#2 use a macro monarch deck because if he uses his ability he while remove his card and startdust cant come back from the out of play!

RE:
Is Majestic star dragon invincible?
my friend thinks nothing can effect MSD! but I think alot of trap cards can beat MSD (Majestic Star Dragon)
so my question is how many card effects spell cards and trap cards can beat it?
