I dont know, but I want to go down there once in awhile and I dont know which is easier to learn

they both are portuguese so doesn't make any difference
but i Brazilian Portuguese is better
This point is, "you want yourself to be plainly understood." If "down there" means Brazil, I would suggest you study Brazilian Portuguese. There is no such thing as "Spanish Portuguese," there is a "dialect" called Portuñol spoken along the southern Brazilian border with Spanish-speaking countries.
This is similar to the combination of Spanish and English to form "Spanglish."
It's not "what's easier for you," it's what's easier for your audience.
If you can't accept that, don't learn it.
There's no such thing as Spanish Portuguese. There's Portugal Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese, and that's about it.
