I have an emachine model, and have had it for about 2 years. Occasionally my screen will go dark/black (like three times as dark as the dimmest brightness level). It will flicker dark a couple of times and will go completely black. I usually just toggle the screen between open and closed positions until the screen goes right again, but I was wondering what could be wrong with it and how much it costs for repair.
