Prior to establishing genetic paternity (DNA testing) is a man required to help support a woman financial aid for prenatal costs of a child? Assuming she has insurance and it is covered, should he/ does he have to help pay before paternity can be established, or is it more like a "back pay" situation where if he does turn out to be the father, he repays the costs involved?
Update:Also of question, is the potential father required to help purchase supplies (cribs, bassinets, clothes, etc) that the child would need upon coming home.
My step father has recently been placed in a situation of this sort, him 54, her 36, and has already given her $4000 and she is demanding more, yet the baby isn't even born yet. He's 54...she's in her mid 20's

No, he is not responsible for prenatal care, especially if it is covered by insurance.
As for DNA, it probably depends. If you are not married, assuming you are a slut, he has a legitimate reason to doubt that he is the father so, he can deny it and you would have to request the court to order a DNA test. In that case, you would have to pay for it. If he turns out to be the father, no, he is not responsible to pay you the cost of the DNA test.
unless they are married, from my point of view, her body her decision to LET herself get pregnant her resonsibility 100%........
