lg xenon or lg incite ?

ive had the lg vu for the past couple of months now, but i have enough money to get a different phone. ive been checking out 2 other touchscreen l phones, the incite and the xenon. now, the reason ive been checking out the incite is because its basically the VU but with windows mobile, and a different color, etc. and it carries the same slate design which i really like. the xenon i love completely, with the keyboard, but it seems a bit small and id be paranoid about the slider eventually weakening and breaking. but, which phone should i get? the main thing that concerrns me with the incite (if i get it ill get a hard case like with my current VU) but is the touchscreen good for texting ?

I have the Incite, and I must say that if your goal is a good texting phone, I would not get a touchscreen-only device. Although the Incite has an on-screen keyboard in both portrait and landscape orientations, it is definitely nicer to have a hardware keyboard as well.

The Incite is essentially a PDA with phone capabilities and WiFi. Think of it as a mini computer. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1 professional, which is completely different than the Xenon's OS (proprietary LG).

The Xenon, with its slide-out keyboard, is much more suited to entering text, but lacks WiFi and other powerful PDA-type features. It lacks POP and IMAP e-mail support, so you won't be able to check your GMail or Yahoo mail without launching a web browser, which will require a data plan of some sort because of the lack of built-in WiFi.

The Xenon's screen is about 0.2 inches smaller than the Incite's, but a little wider. The Incite is actually kind of small, and the screen seems smaller than it really is because it is quite narrow (check it out at the store, if you have a chance).

Bottom line:

If you don't care about WiFi or native e-mail client support, get the Xenon. I think you'll be happier than with a touch-screen only phone.
