im wondering if anyone has made a transition either way, and which is cheaper, quicker and more of a joy around the city?
just want to hear some opinions. thanks
Update:i would only wear a helmet, and i have a bicycle i ride regularly. just sometimes don't have the time patience or stamina for the weather. (plus iv had 3 biycles stolen around london now!) i think there is parking for motorcyles everywhere? and no congestion charges?

I went from travelling from Zone 6 to Zone 1 by public transport to cycling in. Best thing I ever did. No hold ups, I knew exactly how long it would take me every day. No more squashed on a Jubilee Line or DLR train. Fresh air not sweat fumes (except my own LOL)
Scooter will be quicker than underground/bus if you exclude the extra time taken to get dressed. Cycle will be just as quick and a lot healthier.
