I had that done when I was in highschool... Typically the top navel is sort of like an "over hang" of skin and its not as "tight" as the lower.... I noticed with mine it took longer for the bottom to heal then it did the top mostly because of how much tighter the skin is on the bottom then it is on the top and also becuase theres more movement with the bottom then there is on the top.... or it could be from the bar/balls it's self... is it long enough? is there enough room for movement, or it its too short?

Hi Most folks generally tend to have a higher navel piercing simply for the reason that its the performed factor. There isn't any rationale thou why you cant get a shrink navel piercing. Often folks who've had them performed higher and allow them to near over get shrink ones as you cant re pierce by way of scar tissue. Some folks have higher and shrink performed! Either appears simply as well! It wont topic that you just shave in that field. You will simply have got to watch out to not capture the piercing thats all.... however that wont be rough! Good Luck! X
