I will strongly recommend you Macbook Pro as it is new version of Macbook with high specifications. It is more reliable and durable While buying Macbook air you have to sacrifice memory as it has less hard drive. You can check this out at

This Apple MacBook Pro MC700LL/A is one first class laptop. I own 5 Mac computers, including 2 Imacs, one being a G3, 2 laptops, and to this day a Color Classic 9" Mac, that still works. I have never had a problem with any of them. The only thing I have ever had to do was replace a battery in my G3 Imac.
The new MacBook Pro is my favorite. The Snow Leopard OS is so easy to use, and far superior to any Windows PC. If you want a computer that is made well, has an operating system that is very easy to learn, and use, this is it.
plenty relies upon on 2 or 3 issues. how a lot funds do you're able to spend? that ought to help verify which 2 or 3 you should use. i love the Air. First it really is quickly, it really is amazingly elementary and it isn't all that top priced. the in undemanding words concern human beings have with that is the shortcoming of a disk rigidity. besides the indisputable fact that I genuinely have 2 exterior drives, both are impressive burners and both were affordable. additionally they got here with their personal Mac Drivers. I genuinely have exterior HD, to the song of 2tb and exterior zip rigidity and exterior floppy rigidity. even if it really is exterior I were given it. except being hit with dumb stick when I went Mac procuring some months in the past i'd were the owner of an Air. I personal a MacBook professional (intel of course), it really is quickly, aluminum, heavier than i can carry now days so I loaned it to a buddy who needed an intel MacBook. She is in seventh heaven, loves the speed, the ports, the skill to apply VOIP. She is a videographer, does superb paintings. She loves the heavy responsibility computing potential over the G5 she has been utilizing. MacBook (classic), personal 2 of those, (no youngsters), one on everlasting personal loan and the different is part of my residing house herd (4 in volume). I genuinely have this years MacBook. it really is waiting for Lion, already has the exciting touchpad, it really is operating at 2.4ghz, howdy at the same time as i began with mac and one went to 7mhz, so i'm more advantageous than delighted with the speed and potential, plus i'm getting hours of use, frequently 0730 plus hours. So i'm more advantageous than delighted except that it don't have firewire. there's a paintings round, so i'm no longer all that bothered by technique of it. i imagine the classic could cope with something college ought to toss out. some call for a particular OS variety software, yet Macs run both Mac and residing house windows natively, so i do not see that as a topic. U basically get boot camp, persist with the teachings and get a partition and placed residing house windows in the partition. have relaxing in school
No computer is built for salt resistance. Apple computers are more reliable than most. They are the main choice for professional use (Hollywood film editing, pro photography, videography, scientific work, NASA, etc.), so they get a beating and "keep on ticking".
The Air is much lighter. Almost as light as air... get it? To make it light, things are eliminated, such as DVD, ethernet, and Firewire. It is designed for the tasks most people do: downloading, watching, listening, typing.
The Pro has DVD burner, ethernet, Firewire, Thunderbolt, more powerful processor options, better graphics (15" model). Use it for rendering HD video in Final Cut Pro X, burning movie discs in iDVD), and playing high-intensity games.
I own both Air and Pro. The Air is for going places and doing the basics. Most people nowadays do not use DVD discs. They use iTunes store or Netflix for download movies. If you decide you occasionally need to play DVD discs with the Air, you can buy the external DVD burner for US$79.
The Pro has Firewire for much faster copying of large files to an external drive, Thunderbolt for super-fast copying and RAID, ethernet for faster networking, and built-in DVD burner for on-the-go burning -- if ever you really think you will be burning DVDs at large.
NOTE: the 13" Pro has so-so graphics, so skip it for game playing, and it fails to make the basic requirements for Final Cut Pro X Hd rendering (if you were thinking of becoming a videographer or pro film editor).
Go with the air because I'm assuming you won't need a fancy processor or anything, and you could save $200. Plus it's great to take around with you.
Pro..who cares is air is lightweight, pro is just slightly heavier not by much tho
Unless you have nothing to store on your computer, or an external hardrive, get the pro.
