I am looking to upgrade to a new laptop and I want to get a Mac....I just don't know whether I should get the MacBook or the MacBook Pro. I'm a college student majoring in nursing so I won't be doing anything fancy. Maily just the occasional online class, email, web browsing, pictures, and lots of music. I am on a tight budget so the MacBook is ideal in that way but is it worth the extra cash to get the pro?

The 13-Inch MacBook and MacBook Pro models largely are differentiated by case material, performance (modestly), and connectivity.
For your needs -- class work, e-mail, web browsing, photos and music -- either would work well. However, as you have stated that you are on a tight budget, it would seem to be most logical to purchase the non-Pro model.
Nevertheless, for more details, an objective in-depth comparison also may be useful for you to decide for yourself:

Hope this helps!
I would say Macbook Pro because that is what I have and I love it. For only a little bit more for the 13 inch and you get more features and I have not had any problems. Hope this helps.
IOn my experience it is absolutely a great idea to not g with a macbook at all. the new asus and Hewlett packard can run all of the programs you will use for this and a new laptop designed by samsung is a way better looking case and alloy finish than the MAC but if it has to be a mac Go with the MAc book Pro They are worth the extra money. and you will not have to upgrade for atleast 2 years. apparently unless they decide to change to AMD cpus next year so i have found out.
Not really MacBook should run fine, but you might want to get it with a larger Hard Drive if you have a lot of music.
If your on a tight budget then you shouldn't even get an Apple. I want one but definitely overpriced. For the money you are going to spend, you can get another laptop that's better for less the cash. But if you must go with the MacBook if you're on a budget. Steve Jobs uses a MacBook Pro if that helps with your decision... yeah I didn't think it would. Happy New Year.
Ignore James,he is a spammer. Get the MacBook Pro. It dosent overheat and has a much bigger hard drive.
