Neither one is good. Do yourself a favor and buy a Windows 7 laptop. You can do everything with that, plus many things that a Mac can't do. And for a fraction of the cost! Please don't buy into the Apple hype and propaganda. The Apple logo is nothing more than a status symbol. The hardware is capable of failures just like anything else.

MacBook Pro is a better value and the aluminum enclosure and design is excellent. I own a current MacBook Pro 15 inch and it's been perfect.

Mac's are very expensive anyways, but the macbook starts at $999 and is very basic, however, the macbook pro starts at $1199 and is very powerful and well designed.

In my opinion, i think the macbook pro is better value for money, have a look for yourself:
