The 13-Inch MacBook and MacBook Pro models largely are differentiated by case material, performance (modestly), and connectivity. Basically, if price is most important, get a MacBook. If an aluminum case and additional ports are more important, get a MacBook Pro.
Most students with your needs -- Internet use, storing pictures and videos, video chat, etc -- likely would find either to be an acceptable choice, but an in-depth comparison of the MacBook and MacBook Pro (as well as the MacBook Air) may also help you decide which is best for you:

Hope this helps!
I went to the Best Buy store unsure whether to buy the MacBook or MacBook Pro and the guy advise me to go with the Pro and gave me a long list of legitimate reasons as to why. Some of which includes longer battery life, lasts longer, more durable, faster, more memory, doesn't over heat as easily

And btw, once you get a Macbook, no PC will ever be worth your time or money again, and I promise you that
No distinction in portraits except you're getting between the better end professionals. there's a .27GHz distinction (leaning interior the pros favour, needless to say), and two times as lots RAM for a prevalent kind. in spite of the undeniable fact that, the storage is decreased from 250 to a hundred and sixty GB from the common to the pro. it quite is ninety GB down the tubes for the inflated value. For a ordinary client, i could advise the Macbook.. whether i individually savour my Acer Ferrari. ;)
For now the Macbook will be fine. The Pro is for more graphic intensive work like movie editing and design.
The Dell 15 is worth it.
