You don't join the Marine Infantry for medals.

If you want "medals", join the army infantry. They have a medal for everything and they hand them out like it's candy at a Halloween party.

Marine Grunts don't get medals because everything Marine Grunts do is freaking amazing. In the Army you get a Silver Star for running at a machine gun nest and destroying it... In the Marine Corps the mission is to ASSAULT the machine gun nest. It's what is expected of the United States Marine.

Don't be an MP. Have you ever gone on base and seen how "happy" Marine MPs are. They're always pissed off... I would be to if I had to stand around all day checking peoples Id.

The Corps...nah the whole military is not all about gettin "medals" or gettin rank. Its about service, commitment, and pride.

Infantry- Youll be takin the fight to the enemy as the main ground force of the military. When your not doin this youll be training and training others.

Military Police - Almost similar to being a police stateside but way more intense and stressful. My cuz is an MP and loves every minute of it.

Both these jobs take a fighting mentality and if all your looking for is medals, you might get some with a nice little term called "post humous"

Dude I just enlisted for the usmc my job is security forces and I get to do 3 years of that and after that there going to place me in infantry so I say go infrantry

I don't know who or how old you are, but I can tell you, if you are looking for bragging rights to a shiny pin on your chest, or the rank above your head, you obviously have no idea what it means to be a soldier, and the core would smell that on you the second you stepped off that bus. A grunt is a grunt, and you're gonna get eaten alive by every single one of them.

If all you want is to earn "metals" you belong in the Marines. You will earn the "respect" of every media whore in the country.

If you want to support and defend your country, why don't you consider the US Army Infantry. They aren't pretty, just tough.

you shouldnt go into the marines to brag

that is not the right reason to do it

you should go into it for pride of your country

and use it as a stepping stone to your life

the best advice i can give you is to deffinetly go marine police

this way when you decided to leave the military if you do you have a future in law enforcement.

I would not join the marines or the Army. Quality of life sucks in both. If you want to join something it is my opinion that you should join the AF. Thats me though.
