Okay so my siter has given me a micro sd memory card which is supposed to work with my phone (LG KP500) but does not want to work. It will also not work on my computer after plugging it in through the sdhc card adapter usb thing. i have looked through forums which say to format the memory card but i am unable to do this because the phone doesnt recognise it. I have also tried to format it through the computer but every time i plug the adapter in it recognises that something has been plugged in but when i click on it, it says "please insert a disc into removable drive" when clearly the adapter has been hooked up with the micro sd card. any help?

also i have checked that the card adapter is not locked.
