Midieval Compass Rose Design?
I have to draw a map of Europe for one of my classes.
I have to find a compass rose that is "midieval" themed.
since we are studying the middle ages.
can somebody give me some ideas for what i can do to make the compass rose "midieval themed " ?
pictures would be great too.

Update:i'm not allowed to use two swords crossing each other since that example was used in class.

you could try something like crossed lances, as in Knights of old.
