Would applying a light coating of non-conductive mineral oil to the innards of a PC (except for the HDD and optical drive) leave harmful residue over time? Can it be applied without any prerequisite application of sealants to certain parts inside of the PC?

Answer my questions with this extra detail: no dust will enter the computer, as the vents will be sealed (for the most part). I am contriving a containment and prevention system for the laptop dust problem.
