Debate Team is usually one on one, and based purely on speaking. In Model UN, speaking is a component of it, but the main objective of debate as a whole is to develop a written resolution (a set of ideas, to put it simply) on the issue and it involves a variety of skills.

Go for Model UN, I'd say it's more well-balanced.
