That very seldom happens- was this a hand written check or done by a computer payroll
company? I've heard of people getting crazy overtime by their mistake/or leaving earnings, bonuses
and commission OUT when you were counting on it being included.
I would have a ball with this Really!! Tell him that you were so happy with the company bonus and it's not even Christmas but you were wondering what outstanding work you performed that won
you this added amount to your check*** it will be very memorable **then say "just kidding
I guess you'll be wanting this check back"- then hand it to him/her!!!! They will never forget you.
Just tell him because if that was my boss and the same thing happened he wouldn't pay me for a good while to make up for the extra cash I got. Which means I wouldn't be paid in like two months
That's amazing but the right thing to do would be to go to him and tell him. because otherwise he will find out on the bank statement soon enough that he made a mistake. so tell him and maybe he'll even let you keep some of it :)

Talk to your boss and tell him that he made a mistake
Take the 240 dollars.
Honesty.

It's best to just tell him, rather than get in trouble when he finds out later.
What IS there to do? Cash it, cash it quick.
He might find out, but just act innocent like you didn't notice.
As Steve Miller says: "Take the money and run"
Cash the sum of a ***** n **** Mexicans
Return difference or you can be charged with wilful gain of monies:(
