Whenever I copy something from my pen drive or my hard drive, my computer screen goes blank. Nothing happens. Just blank. It would copy half and then the problem happens. The cpu lights are still blinking but the monitor goes off. And then I cant start it immediately. I have to wait 2 minutes before I start it again otherwise it wont start. I have XP. 512 ram. 80 gb hard disk. 256 AGP graphics. Also. I have other ram cards. 1gb and 512 mb. But they won't start. Is it because my ram card is over heating or something? Or the processor? Please help. Its really giving me problems.

Chances are it's not overheating, typically your computer will shut it's self down if that's the case. Check the requirements on your pen drive you are running an old computer maybe it requires a certain OS or more RAM?
If your able to change your display from your AGP card to your Onboard display (if you have one) then do so and see if it happens again. If you don't have onboard graphics slot try to update your graphics driver.
My best guesses are compatibility issues or your motherboard is failing.
HMMM it could be your mother bored dying but not likely, if you touched your ram then it could of burned out unless you touched something metal first, I recommend changing the ram and see if it helps, if not well at least you got new ram.
Maybe hes stupid
