Hey guys, i recently bought a PC about a few days ago. I asked the Best Buy people before buying if this computer would run wow fine, they said it sure would. Anyways what i am trying to get at is why i can barely run wow, im getting like 8fps on low graphics.
I talked to a buddy who came a looked and said it is most likely my internet connection. Now i dont know if he is right, cuz he is kinda a "Know it all". Anyways, i did a speed connection.
My Download speed is great - 1.2MB/sec
However my upload speed is - 40KB/sec
He said it my upload speed, because when playing wow apperently i need to send info back to the server's.. Anyways here is my DxDiag.

Your computer has a decent video card and a decent enough ammount of ram and cpu speed, the problem is your internet connection.
Is that the speeds your getting quoted from your ISP ? because they are bad. Your uploads should be about 600Kbps, and please when your talking about speeds u should say Mbps not MB/s they are the difference of 8 times, when u talk about your downloads in utorrent u say its going in MB/s but if your testing an internet speed they are usually allways quotted in Mbps, goto speedtest.net and find out what your getting in Mbps and if its not upwards of almost 1Mpbs or at least 600Kbps your speed is your biggest problem, yes your computer could be alot better, but the game will automatically setup the appropriate detail and video setting levels.
You should check with your ISP and find out what your supposed to be getting if you don't already know, ive never heard of high speed internet with that slow of an upload :(
I don't play WOW but i do play Starcraft2 and its made by the same company blizzard, to not get dropped from a game, i have to have at least 600Kbps uploads, and my downloads are about 6Mbps, just so u know what would play fine on the server :)
hope that helps :)
i'am sorry,but i have to tell you,you PC is so bad,really!
if you want to play WOW well:
1.Reduce the effect of the gameï¼
2.buy another new pc better than now!
