I have a Dell computer, Inspiron E1705.
And I've had SD cards for the past about 5 months.
I have a 4Gb Sandisk card and I always use it with my camera.
Normally for me to be able to use my Sd card, I put it in. If it never shows I have one in I restart my computer and SOMETIMES it will work. I know my Sd card isn't broken or anything because it works in other computers and our ps3.
Whenever I put in the card and it doesn't work, nothing ever comes up. No error message or anything!
I'll go to the start button, then to 'my computer' where it shows if something is in the computer. and It doesn't!
And another thing is if it finally works and if I were to take it out and put it back in, it doesn't work again!
So then I have to restart my computer again!!
But today I just tried and I restarted it and everything and it still won't read my sd card. And I'm really getting sick of it.
And I've also tried other sd cards, and its the same way. I have to restart it and all that other crap.
Can someone please help!?

If you're using a slot on the pc you might wanna try buying a SD card adapter, it goes really cheap online and at the stores. google up SD card adapter.
ALSO when you remove the SD card from the computer, you can't just pull it out, it will corrupt the memory card making it useless. Before removing the card, look the the bottom right side of the screen in the icons bar, and right click on the devices icon, and select: safely remove hardware. THEN, you can remove the SD card.
if it is SD HC then good luck. they are junk. the HC type are junk.
