my computer's broken!?
i can turn it on, but once its on, these weird pop-ups come up saying "Application about to terminate or something like that".. whats wrong with it??

If you have windows cd then boot from it and try a repair install if possible, otherwise format hard disk and reinstall everything
you probably have been hacked and it can be fixed but not by you unless you know what you are doing so take it to someone who know what they are doing or just reboot your whole system with windows xp but dont let windows xp fix your computer wait till they ask for a product key and then they will still try to get you to let them fix problems dont do that just keep going till you get a complete reboot from them it is alot of work but will get rid of problems hope that helps over and out

It sounds like a virus to me.
Go to http://free.grisoft.com/ and download AVG Free.
Let it scan your computer & go from there...
its a cornucopia of viruses and spyware ... theres so many viruses the viruses themselves dont even run ryt anymore :)
