she has been seperated for over 2 years
the final paperwork has just been filed
she apparently wont get a court date for another 4-6 months
which im assuming she THEN will have to wait another 4-6 for.
we have been dating since last year
im in love with her
shes in love with me
she had a wedding... NOT A MARRIAGE...
they were married for 8 days.
in sc that is too long for an annullment...
she has remained married because she sees him as a friend only.. hence the want for a divorce.
im not to meet her parents who are VERY conservative until the marriage is through which i was always fine for since i assumed it would not be too much longer...
i now want to marry her
and dont want 2 years of us being together to not be known about.
that being said i understand the need for her parents not knowing until she is divorced
i just dont want us to in a way start over all we have built and felt in the eyes of her parents.
as that would obviously prolonge the time of our marriage

You should meet her parents this weekend. It would be horrible for everyone is she just brings you home and introduces you as her NEW husband. Why doesn't she want you to meet them? Why would she marry a guy and it only last for 8 days? There is lots more going on here. Lots wrong if she remains married to him for over 2 years and they live like friends. I think you may have a bi-polar girl on your hands. Good luck because you will need it. She makes lots of bad decisions and I'm sure you will find out more if you meet her parents this weekend. Proceed slowly.
It is my understanding that any thing under a year can be anuled. a .year or more divorce
