I think he did it earlier on but i just found out. the electrical socket looks a bit burnt on the end and the room smells wierd and smoky...
i want to know if the room has a chance of a fire or if all the damage has already been done

I don't think so. The circuit breaker would have tripped if it shorted. I wouldn't use the outlet until after it was replaced.
don't you just love um,got an 8 year old grand son my self,couldn't ring a 10 foot circle if he was standing in the middle of it. that's all that's going to happen,if it was going to catch fire it would have by now,mostly its gonna smell ,might not be a bad idea to change it out sooner or later,just because of the smell it won't go away
He's lucky he wasn't electrocuted. To be safe, I would replace the socket. I doubt that the wiring was affected in any way.
