my navel piercing(belly button) is red around the top hole and has a light scab around the bottom hole. The bottom also leaks puss every once in a while. I've had it since June 29,2007. Other than the problems I've stated nothing else is wrond. Does anyone know if this is normal or not?

Not normal. You have an infection. Treat it with products ofered at your piercing shop.
Keep it clean and use a good external antibiotic. If redness increases go back to the piercing shop or consult your doctor.
Best advice : we have been created quiete well, dont mess with extra holes! hahaha GL!
that would be an infection. Its very common for a navel piercing. Peroxide 3 times a day. And keep it clean. If it doesnt heal up within a couple of weeks go and see a doctor.
is it rejecting? you've had it for a while so it should be fairly well healed by now. you may also be having a reaction to cheap jewelry. make sure the bar (and use a bar instead of a ring because they are easier to heal) is made of high quality, appropriate material. The bar may also be too heavy or the piercing may be catching or constantly bumbing against things, thus keeping it in a constant state of irritation.
If there's puss you have an infection. That's not normal.
