my screen calibration for my ds lite got bad and it will not get fixed by using the re calibration menu, after I press the 3 squares, it just asks me to test if the calibration is correct and it never is,what do I do now

you can go to nintendo dot com and the tech support there is very friendly they will help you
Call Nintendo with your problem so they can send you mailing instructions/UPS sticker. I did the same thing for a different DS problem.
They'll send you the stuff you need to send in your DS and either fix it or replace it, provided it's within ONE YEAR of your purchase date. If not, you will have to pay a little bit more for fixings.
Take it into a game store and see if they can fix it, I'm sure they can. If that doesn't work see if nintendo does one of those mail in console fixes like the xbox 360.
