I had a big black head right in the middle of my nose. I've just got it out really easily, but now i have an big open pore. What should i do to prevent dirt from getting in there and clogged again (so it doesn't get bigger). Should i avoid moisturizing, and products there general? Anything i can do to shrink pores?
Update:I don't have acne or anything, i'm 20, just this one recurrent blackhead on my nose and that's it.

its good to exfoliate once in a while so i suggest you take 2 advril pills (generic, uncoated). Dont eat them! take them and dissolve in a few drops of water in the palm of your hand. then rub them gently over your entire face for a few minutes. The active ingredients open up the pores and gets rid of dead skin cells--leaving you with smooth skin. try it out and comment. hope that helps

Stop Squeezing them. Get a face sauna, the steam should open your pores wide enough so that you can scrub away the black heads not squeeze them putting more infections into you skin. Use a good toner & cleanser. I would advice using a one that suits your skin type such as senstive or dry. By using a toner it should close up the pores && make them more manageable. if you have a busy life style buy Johnsons 3-1 wipes. They tone & cleanse your skin without all the hassle of buying 2 differnt products. Always touch your skin with clean hands, this stops more muck & dirt gettin into the pores of your skin. You can buy many number of products that are made for blackheads.
I heard you fill a bowl up with cool water and put your face in to close your pores. Also if you want to open them you put a wet hot washcloth over your face for a couple minutes. Then wait a couple minutes to put you face in the cool water. This process opens pores to clean them and then closes them.
I would avoid putting any cosmetics on it, yes. That includes lotions, makeup, and all the works. There's really nothing you can do to get rid of it faster. It will have to go away on its own. Just don't irritate it.
Wash your face with whatever you use to wash your face daily. If you have anything to put on it that prevents acne, put that on it. I've heard that toothpaste works well, and it actually works on me. Just plain white toothpaste. Just put a little on.
