I live in SF and I am a huge fan of Paul McCartney. I heard he's playing at the Outside Lands Festival in Golden Gate Park next week. I want to go listen to him but all the tickets are sold out. I don't necessarily need good seats to see him, I just want to hear him play.
Is there anywhere in Golden Gate Park that I will be able to hear him play? He's playing on the "Lands End" stage.

Or just stay home: For the first time, Outside Lands has teamed up with video streaming service Ustream to offer fans who can't make it to the sold-out festival the chance to watch all the action via an interactive multi-camera live feed. It's a big step up from last year's audio-only webcast, and you never have to leave your couch. For more details, go to www.ustream.tv.
I've looked and they never say exactly where in GGP this thing happens every year. I can hear the music from apartment though. And I don't know how much of the surrounding area is off limits unless you bought (and overpriced) ticket to the festival--you might be able to go and just find a spot on one of the hills or dales closeby and get enough sound to satisfy you.
