Ok, so katie is posessed. She ended up killing her sister in the 2nd one and she was like a demon in this one. But the parents died? Did the girls plan that..or were they brainwashed? Because christie was like "come on tobey" after they killed them in the end. And they like watched them kill their parents, but katie seemed truly scared before, and christie kind of ignored it. But they just killed their fkn parents!! And so the grandma is just wicked ****** up and only had her daughter so that she could brainwash her granddaughters? Why didn't she just brainwash her own daughter? And so this continues somehow..and katie and christie somehow become funtioning normal people..like really? I'm starting to think this is just stupid lol. Can someone convince me otherwise or just break down what they think happened for me?

The grandma is in a coven and she is a huge supporter of the Devil. And practices witchcraft.
They werent brainwashed like you keep saying. And that wasnt the girls dad. It was their step dad.
The grandma made a deal with the devil because she wanted to be rich. nd in return the devil asked for the first born son. So its the grandmas fault but at the same time she is just keeping up on her end of the deal. (this is discussed in the second movie.)
The girls dont remember being little kids. (also discussed in the second movie) They had something done so they forgot about being little.
Toby is also the grandmas husband. (his picture can be seen several times in the movie).
The little girl at one point described Toby to her step dad and the description she gives matches the guy in the pictures with the grandma.
