All depends what I'm doing. If I'm just randomly writing something that's not too important, pen. However if it's some important thing that really matters what you write, pencil. Also if I know I might have to erase a lot I use a pencil.
Pencil. I get ahead of myself when I write. So I skip letters (elepant), add extra letters(peanuut), even miss entire words (the ran). And I spell horrible. And I hate it when certain letters look funny or are too far apart from the rest of the word.

Long story short, I'd rather use pen.
Mechanical Pencil
I prefer pencil. Pens are a little to smooth.
Pen or mechanical pencil. Writing with regular wooden pencils gives me goosebumps. Weird, I know, but I can't stand the sound or feel!
At school, pencil. But at home, pen. I like how writing in pen feels, but erase a lot.
Pen, I hate having to keep up with making sure the pencil is sharpened or if it needs more lead. haha I'm lazing when it comes to things like that.
