Hormonal birth control can cause irregular bleeding for extended periods of time. This is very common and unless it is very heavy usually isn't anything to be alarmed about. However, I would recommend that you seek more professional advice about how long the bleeding/period might be expected to last and, if continuous, at what point you might need to consider alternative contraception options. Hopefully this won't be necessary and you'll be back to 'normal' soon.
