Depends on what you like. Both are large cities, with LA being a huge city. If you like living in a zoo then I would suggest LA. If you like living in a very warm desert type city with beautiful golf courses, great sports teams, being close to some wonderful outdoor activities (skiing, golf, hiking, antiquing), being close to natural wonders like the Grand Canyon, Painted Desert, Sedona, Petrified Forest, Gila Wilderness area (New Mexico/AZ border), etc. then Phoenix is your best bet.
I guess you know, by now, which one I would choose - go Coyotes!!
