I have a physical photo, 8x10 (kind of thick, like cardboard) that broke in half and i d like to have it fixed. Does anyone know where I could go to get it done? Thank you!
Just out of curiosity, have you tried to get in touch with the photographer or company that took the photograph? IF they have the original negative or digital file, they can make another copy for you.
If, for whatever reason, you're not able to get in touch with the photographer or company that took the photo, you can always resort to professional restoration labs; they are experienced and technically savvy enough to give you an imagine you'll be mighty happy with.
Photo restoration goes back many decades, during the time of black and white film and color film, too. You did not include where you're located but that's no problem. There are restoration labs everywhere; check with the Yellow Pages or search in your area through the Internet; call a few places and find out which one would suit your needs. Good luck, and best wishes.
You will need to look up "photo RESTORATION" for your area. There are services that you can mail your photo to, but if it is of any value, you may not want to trust sending it through the mail.
It cannot be fixed to equal it's original state. You will need good quality scans of each half, then those digital files can be combined and restored in software and a new print made, which can also be mounted to mat board if desired. Not a big problem for a good technician.
