Getting a TV shortly, I've had an LCD one which I like to some extent but I'm rather keen on getting a projector too for the cinema experience. Can someone give me a suggestion on what I should choose out of the three options above and also possibly a specific model. Budget is medium and TV will mostly be used for HD quality images.
Update:I'm talking about an HD projector (720P) I wouldn't get one made for slideshows.

The current technology leader for commercial movie house digital projection is DLP; not LCD. And the major commercial/home DLP units which you should consider [not in any particular order] are:
1. Infocus SP and I Series
2. Optoma H Series
3. ViewSonic
4. Proxima
5. Sharp
Good luck!
slowpoke, it looks like we all agree. I too would buy an LCD HDTV. I would watch the sales and jump in and get a good brand like Sony if you can afford it. Models, I do not know. LCD yes. I bought a projector HDTV last year but if I had it to do again, I'd definetly get an LCD HDTV.....they're about twice the cost of a projector HDTV but they're probably twice as good also. Again, it depends on how much money you're willing to shell out for a TV. Is it THAT important right now, if not take the time to shop around. You'll end up doing the right thing if you take your time, research as here, shop around, then make you purchase.
I'd hold out for Sony's XBR8, which using 3-color LED backlighting and segmented backlights together for the first time in a LCD will mean color quality and contrast that will rival high-end plasmas.
liquid crystal reveal's are the perfect fee. Plasma television's lose 50% of their brightness interior the 1st 5 years. Projection television has an annoyingly small viewing perspective and can require a periodic bulb exchange.
the res. on projectors are poor, plasmas are expensive and have a short life span, the lcd are the best choice it has very good quality resolution it has a life span 10 times that of plasmas, they are cheeper
sony and samsung has the best overall tv's. lg and sharp has a few good ones too
Definetly Plasma, I own my own electronics store and own one personally, if you need help deciding, you can call my store number and ask one of my employees. (314) 406-5036.
Hope this helps.
