See, what you did was save the game like it was the normal game, a very huge error on your part. What you need to do is save (from now on) on the VBA save feature (File/Save As/etc.)

That way you ensure to have your save game data on the PC

if its on an emulator it Will not save your game after it is finished because it is formatted that way so it saves space on your PC
