OK!, Im purchasing a PowerMac to use as a server for home use, I was wondering what the capacity of hard drives I could use with out using a HD controller card, it uses IDE but I can use SATA and thats not limited, but Iw as hoping to use the IDE channels as much as possible. I dont want to get some IDE drives and have them only register as 128GB when their really 320 or sometihng

G4s got controllers with 48-bit addressing well before that model came out. You can toss as large an IDE drive in it as you can find, and that thing has bays for four of them. It'll take a compatible SATA PCI card no problem, too.
