Problems with internet (packet loss)?
This has been ongoing for a while now, my internet provider says they are detecting no problems their end, they're just not much help really.
If I'm watching a video online it will often stop buffering completely, and I'll have to refresh the page. If I'm playing video-games online I get disconnected from the game randomly. The thing is the connection is perfect, there is no indication beforehand.
I tested my connection on pingtest.net and it always says "packet loss connection failed". Could this be the underlying problem and can it be resolved?

It sounds more like the window for NAT half open connections is a bit short on the router.
You could try updating the firmware of your router.
If you connect your PC directly to the modem I imagine you won't get this behavior.
