he's a fan favorite in detroit, im surprised they got rid of him.
I'm from NY and thus a Yankees fan. He was traded because the we needed a catcher with Posada out for the year. Meanwhile, Detroit said they need middle relief since they are having bullpen issues. When they told Pudge, he waived his 'No trade' policy because it gives him a chance to play for a contender. Pudge is at the age where he wants ever chance he can get to win a World Series, and this happen to come up.
I'm a Yankees fan and I would've liked to see Pudge stay in Detroit. He's good, don't mean to say he wasn't worth it for Farnsworth, but Farnsworth is the kind of guy the Yankees need right now. Keep the 'pen solid. Molina is an excellent defensive catcher, so what are they gonna do, have Pudge DH with Nady? I don't get it.
Like maximum human beings suggested earlier it develop into to get Pudge to modify Posada for something of the year also, to get a participant like Pudge and end an inconsistent participant like Farnsworth is particularly difficulty-free. Plus the Yankees have a significantly better than in a position bullpen, now that Bruney is lower back, in addtion to Griese, Marte, Edwar Ramirez and particularly Rivera.Joba would get placed lower back in there too, now that his shoulder is bothering him, so as which will certainly help.
i think it's actually a good deal for the tigers...pudge wanted out of detroit, jim leyland didn't want to put up with him, and the tigers wanted someone to close because todd jones has been horrible all season...they got rid of a disgruntled guy and filled a need at the same time, this looks good to me from detroit's standpoint as well as the yankees'
The Tigers always make stupid trades. They traded away their future for a bunch of "proven" players. One is making 7 million player in LAKELAND.
pudge hasnt been doin to god this season and hes getting old so it was good...plus brandon inge is AMAZING!!! hell be good for the tigers...r u a tigers fan??? do u live in michigan?? cuz i live in grosse pointe
Where the hell have you been?
