DAMN, did you skip history class 1st - 12th grade (or whatever grade you're in)?
Anyway... just about all of the people who work against oppression get shot...all of the people in the public eye at least...
But if you want some specific people, try Martin Luther King, Jr. or Malcolm X.
The first one? His name is not known. But, the most popular one I would think is Martin Luther King.
