I had one and hated the damn thing. It hardly worked and my computer always rejected it. I it probably looking for certainnfiles on your computer and is connecting via the USB drive. Personally,I would get rid of it and buy an iPod. My Lyra finally just melted one day when I was trying to load music on it...so irritating
