I am writing to apply for the position of Youth Counselor in the town’s summer recreation program, specifically the basketball program. I want to have this job because I enjoy watching aspiring young basketball players realize their potential as they progress through the summer. Because I have had experience working with children and playing basketball, I feel that I am well-qualified for a position on the summer recreation staff.
