Okay, here's the problem. When i turn the key the engine cranks and turns over, idles at about 500 RPS and stutters for about 3-5 seconds then stalls out. Similar to running out of gas if anyone has experienced that. I'm almost certain it's the fuel pump.
Any ways i can be completely positive that the pump is the problem? The Check Engine light hasn't come on so scanning it would be pointless.
It's late now and i have no time but this is what i'm planning to do:
-Check the fuses and fuel pump relay.
-Disconnect the fuel and try starting to see if i get pressure.
-Check the wiring to the pump itself to see if there's an electrical fault.
-Is the fuel pump above or in the tank, someone told me that some cars have the pumps inside the tank which just sounds odd so i'm just making sure.

yes fuel pump is in tank
Sounds like you have a pressure problem. Could be fuel pump or fuel filter, or you could have a leak in one of the fuel lines. I would check them also.
You should be able to hear the fuel pump when you turn the ignition on, but you should check the pressure with a gauge to make sure.

2001 Camaro Fuel Pump
The tank HAS TO BE dropped. No way around it. Run it down to low fuel or get a hose and suck the fuel out into a portable fuel tank. Replacement fuel pump will come with a fuel sock already attached. Make sure yours is not missing and DO NOT resuse the old one. The lock ring securing the pump at the top of the tank can sometimes break. Take care turning it if you're tapping it to turn. Under that lock ring is a rubber seal. Have a new one ready to go back on. Don't reuse the old one even if it still looks okay. Before starting any of this work remember to disconnect the battery. Release fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail on the engine's lower intake. Have a rag ready to prevent fuel from squirting as you push in the schrader valve.
it is in the tank i know for sure i work on cars and it sounds like ur fuel pump but it could also be the fuel filter
Yep the fuel pump is in the tank. Its in the tank of all your factory fuel injected cars, started in like 1985/86
The 1982-02 camaro/firebird is the hardest car in the world to change the elec fuel pump on lol. You have to almost remove the rear axle housing to get the tank down.
Sounds like you do have a pressure prob
It could be your fuel pressure reg., fuel filter, or the pump

Change the fuel filter. It is the easiest and cheapest part of the system to fix. If it is the pump, you need to lower the tank.
