Here's my question:
I had to do some "volunteer" work at a local Head Start facility this past semester for a class requirement. Even though I really didn't "volunteer," because I had to do it, can I (or should I) put it under "volunteer experience" on my resume? I don't want to go into an interview and have the interviewer ask me why I volunteered there!

On the resume, just list it as experience. Tell what type of responsibilities you had. List skills you had to use - planning, organizing, working with others, etc. You can learning many things through jobs regardless of whether or not you were paid.
lol. include everything you've done as in school clubs, extracurricular activities- sports, leadership, honors, and volunteer work/jobs on your resume. okay.
you volunteered there. you had stuff to do. so how would they know its for a class. they would not know. include it.
just put it under job experience and if they ask about how you got paid just say it was a class requirement.
