I hear so often about high quality dog foods using cheaper ingredients, making it a lesser quality dog food. It used to be the reason they WERE so high quality is that they didn't spend money on advertisements, so they put the money into making a better quality food. I wonder if Innova's ingredients will be cheaoer now that they have to spend money on commercials? Just wondering.

All companies have to advertise their products to make people aware of them . Do you think Walmart should quit doing commercials and stock better products and not the crap that comes from China? There are probably people out there who have never heard of Innova and are thinking of making a change in dog food so commercials are how they become aware of products that may be new to them. Every business has budgets for advertising as well as budgets for their products. and rarely do they swap advertising funding only to produce a lower quality product.
Where do you "so often hear" about high quality dog foods using cheaper ingredients? They use LESS products because they don't use fillers or food coloring and don't add gluten or animal bi products so exactly where are they skimping on quality for their ingredients?
I don't use Innova, but use EVO (which I'm pretty sure stems from that brand). The local pet supply store I buy from had told me a couple months ago that their company was bought out by another, I think the same one that owns brands like Iams. So I have been on the lookout for changes in the price and ingredient list. I noticed the Innova commercials in the past couple of weeks also. I don't know if this helps, this is all I know.
If they didn't advertise, they'd loose money in the long run. Now that a lot of people are getting smarter and buying better quality food, they have extra money for things like advertisements.
I've seen Canidae advertisements, and that has got to be one of the best dog foods out there.
Advertising and ingredient quality are not related.
You have to sell your product, or else stop making it. The more you sell, the more you can make. If you can sell enough to enlarge your production capacity, the cost for each bag of food goes down, even without changing the ingredients.
In my opinion i think you should "EAD" if you don't know what that means you can ask your momma.
